Mediterranean Minimalism

This is one of our latest new-build projects, set right by the Los Angeles River, tucked away from the highway in the heart of Silver Lake. The lot was the perfect size, and the location offered the kind of quiet, natural rhythm that makes a house feel like home.

The only challenge? The southern exposure sat right at the front of the house. Instead of fighting it, we embraced it and made it the character of the design. On both sides, we created special openings with generous windows, channeling sunlight directly into the living spaces. Morning to evening, the home glows because natural light is the purest way to bring happiness into a property.

The house is built with just a couple of carefully chosen materials, yet it comes alive through the richness of shapes, shadows, and proportions. Arched openings, stone details, and clean planes work together to create harmony every angle balanced, every volume intentional.

The design itself blends Mediterranean warmth with minimalist precision. A calm, earthy palette runs through the interiors, while the exterior embraces timeless textures. Every corner was shaped to enhance daily rituals cooking, gathering, resting, or simply pausing to enjoy the way light moves through the rooms.

The result is a home that feels both timeless and contemporary, rooted in the experience of living well.
